Ðǿմ«Ã½ Doncaster Celebrates Fantastic First Set of Results

Students, staff and governors are today celebrating Ðǿմ«Ã½ Doncaster’s very first set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results. The Auckley-based college was the first to join Ðǿմ«Ã½ Pontefract in the New Collaborative Learning Trust in 2017, with Ðǿմ«Ã½ Bradford opening in September this year.

The results showed an A Level pass rate of 99%, with over half of all students achieving an A*-B grade. BTEC results were remarkable with 100% pass rate and 97% of students achieving a Distinction or Distinction* grade. The college’s value added (ALPS) scores placed the college in the top 40% of all college’s nationally for A Level and the top 10% for BTEC.

Some standout performers included:

Henry Wilson – Maths A*, Chemistry A*, Physics A*, Further Maths A*.

Joseph Acris – Physics A*, Maths A*, Further Maths A*, Spanish A.

Elizabeth Middleton – Chemistry A*, Maths for Further Maths A*, Biology A.

Plus over 50 BTEC students who achieved 3+ Distinction* grades.

Ðǿմ«Ã½ Doncaster Principal, Brendon Fletcher said, “We are thrilled to have received our first set of results at Ðǿմ«Ã½ Doncaster and I would like to pay tribute to the staff and students that have worked hard to have achieved these results. We offer our warmest congratulations as students move on to university or employment and we’re hugely excited about greeting our new students for September. â€

Trust CEO, Pauline Hagen OBE said, “Congratulations, too, go to our teaching and support staff, who strive every year to give our students an exceptional experience. This year, Ðǿմ«Ã½ Doncaster have had their first full year of results, and mirror Ðǿմ«Ã½ Pontefract in achieving the kind of high-quality outcomes which are significantly above the national and regional average, and which continue to be a hallmark of the Trust’s provision.”

The college offers a huge choice of over 50 A-Levels and Level 3 BTECs, with the ability to mix and match courses to provide a bespoke study programme for each student. Visit the website for further details and for open event dates at www.ncdoncaster.ac.uk.
